Wells Reserve, Maine

Education

The reserve educates its community about coastal ecology through lectures, guided tours, workshops and field trips. Programs focus on the reserve's natural history and current research while addressing the effects of development, sprawl, erosion and pollution of watersheds.

In 2003, the reserve initiated the Coastal Training and Information
Program that provides vital science-based information and technology to decisionmakers whose work impacts the coastal environment. CTIP also sponsors workshops and conferences on coastal resource topics.
