Delaware Reserve

Facilities

Delaware’s facilities are located at the St. Jones Center for Estuarine Studies at the St. Jones Component.
The center houses a classroom/auditorium, wet lab, research lab, and a variety of exhibits, as well as office space for the Reserve staff. The center is designed with state of the art sustainable infrastructure, including a geothermal heating and cooling system and an on-site wetland based tertiary wastewater treatment system. The property also includes a two-mile trail through the salt marsh and surrounding areas. The Blackbird Creek component is extremely limited to public access and has been left as more of a preserve sources.
