Chesapeake Bay Reserve, Maryland

Jug Bay

Jug Bay is a shallow embayment of the Patuxent River, which is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. It is located along the Patuxent River in Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties, roughly one mile (1.6 km) north of where Anne Arundel, Prince George's and Calvert counties meet.

Habitats of the Jug Bay component include creeks and rivers, freshwater tidal marshes, scrub-shrub wetlands, forested wetlands, forested uplands and fields.
